Their families welcomed me like I’d known them for years, and getting to see where they grew up and create something beautiful in their home state honestly meant so much. Let’s talk details, because Nikki absolutely understood the assignment. Her flatlays were a dream: soft blue satin bows, clean modern stationery, gold wax seals, delicate rings, and that airy veil catching the light in all the right ways. Everything felt refined and purposeful without trying too hard, which is so her. And of course, Steven’s details tied right into that elevated aesthetic: warm tones, crisp textures, and a classic look that felt effortlessly polished. Even the little things, the perfume bottle, the soft fabric ribbons, the way her heels looked on the tile, brought this elevated, editorial vibe to the morning. Getting Ready at The Atwell Suites Hotel | A Wedding in Henderson

The Atwell Suites Hotel on Water Street ended up being the perfect backdrop for their morning. The rooms had beautiful natural light, which is basically my love language. Nikki slipped into her floral-textured gown with help from her sweet mama, and honestly, I could’ve cried watching them. There was this soft hush in the room, that kind of quiet excitement where you can feel everything becoming real. But then Nikki turned around and flashed that huge smile of hers, and suddenly the whole room felt bright again. Steven looked equally unreal when he got dressed, sharp grey suit, burnt-orange details, and the sweetest nerves in his eyes. Their first look on the balcony was one of those moments where time just slows down. They held onto each other like they didn’t want to let go, and I swear the whole building melted a little!

Lake Las Vegas Portraits: The Arches, the Reflections, the MAGIC

Okay… these portraits. These portraits. We went to Lake Las Vegas for their couple photos, and it ended up being the most unexpectedly magical location. Picture this: grand stone arches, warm desert tones, and a still pool of water giving us the prettiest natural reflection you’ve ever seen.
Nikki and Steven moved together with this calm confidence, nothing forced, nothing rushed. Just the two of them soaking in the moment. The way her gown flowed, the way he held her, the light bouncing around those arches… It was giving destination editorial in the most effortless way. These are the kinds of portraits that feel like art, the ones you print big and proudly hang on your walls!

A Sweet Church Ceremony Filled With Love and Laughter

Their ceremony at The Well Church was exactly what you’d hope for on a day like this: sentimental, personal, and grounded in everything that matters. The aisle was lined with florals, the draping behind them created this soft, elegant atmosphere, and their vows had everyone laughing one minute and wiping tears the next. These two have such a natural chemistry, they tease each other. They comfort each other, and they look at each other like there’s no one else in the room. Watching them exchange rings felt like watching two best friends step into a whole new chapter.

Reception at Chinitas Tapas & Sushi: Cozy, Intentional, and Full of Celebration

Chinitas Tapas and Sushi turned out to be the perfect reception spot. Warm lights, romantic florals, cozy textures, and the kind of atmosphere where everyone genuinely relaxes into the evening. The tables were beautifully decorated with soft greenery, delicate blooms, candles, and elegant place settings, it felt intimate but elevated, exactly the way they wanted it. Their first dance was so sweet, and once the dance floor opened… oh, these people knew how to party. Nikki’s outfit change? ICONIC. The energy skyrocketed, the glow sticks came out, the music turned up. And suddenly the room was just this swirl of color, movement, and the happiest chaos. Truly the best way to wrap up a destination wedding weekend. And because these two truly know how to take care of their people, they surprised everyone with an In-N-Out truck parked right outside, a late-night snack that was basically the cherry on top of the whole celebration.
