There’s something about a wedding day that feels like magic from the very beginning, and Cayla and Josh’s Armory Events Center wedding had that spark from the moment I walked in! Their details felt like a love letter to the season, romantic and whimsical, with just the right amount of edge. From the personalized vow books to the retro-chic sunnies and the prettiest flat-lay featuring their “save the date,” everything was intentional, stylish, and so them. And honestly? That vibe carried through the entire day. It was elegant and warm, full of heart, but never too serious. Just like Cayla and Josh.

Getting Ready For Their Wedding Day

The soft morning light at the Armory Events Center was putting in work, the kind of golden glow that made every little detail of Cayla’s getting-ready suite look like something out of a bridal editorial. Her gown? An absolute showstopper! Cayla looked stunning even before hair and makeup were done, but once she was glammed up in her silky pajamas, you could feel the excitement shift. This wasn’t just any day. This was the day. And when she slipped into her dress with her girls around her, the room went from chill giggles to emotional gasps in .2 seconds flat!

First Looks That Hit Right in the Feels

Let’s talk about first looks, because this crew delivered. Cayla’s first look with her bridesmaids was the kind of moment that gives you goosebumps, jaws dropped, hands flew to mouths, happy tears all around. They were hyping her up like only true besties can (and honestly, can every bride get this level of support??). Then came Josh. Sweet, steady, smitten Josh. He turned around, saw his bride, and immediately melted. You could literally feel the world go quiet for them in that moment. It was soft, emotional, and so full of love, exactly what a first look should be.

Portraits & The Dreamiest Fall Light

We headed outside for portraits, and wow, the light, the leaves, the laughter? Chef’s kiss. Cayla and Josh are just one of those couples who feel easy together. Natural. Effortless. Every photo of them walking hand in hand or sneaking forehead kisses under the trees told their story better than any words could. The wedding party brought that energy too, dressed in soft sage and cream tones that paired perfectly with the romantic vibe of the day. Everyone was down to have fun, be themselves, and support these two in the most joyful, wholehearted way. Their ceremony was beautiful surrounded by the people that mean most to them. It was beautiful to capture their “I do’s” surrounded by their families and friends!

Reception at the Armory Events Center: Twinkle Lights & Party Vibes

The Armory Events Center wedding reception was the perfect blend of elegance and fun. Picture black linens with rust-colored runners, baby’s breath centerpieces in mason jars, handwritten signs, and rows of glowing twinkle lights above. It was beautiful and down-to-earth, just like the couple. But let’s be real, once the music started, these two and their people TURNED UP. Cayla and Josh brought the energy to the dance floor (and yes, she swapped into a new dress that was made for movement). There were drinks in hand, everyone was dancing like nobody was watching, and the joy was just… contagious. You could tell this crew knows how to celebrate their people hard and love even harder!
